20th March 2025
TTR Barnes has reinforced its position as one of the North East’s leading accountancy firms with the promotion of two senior managers to Associate Director roles. This strategic move strengthens the firm’s leadership team and ensures a robust managerial structure to support continued growth.
Karen Crozier and Beverley Kelly, both longstanding members of TTR Barnes, bring decades of experience and expertise to their new roles, reinforcing the firm’s commitment to delivering exceptional service and strategic oversight.
Enhancing Leadership for Continued Growth
With a history spanning over 80 years and a team of more than 30 professionals, TTR Barnes is one of the largest accountancy firms in Tyne and Wear. The appointment of Associate Directors enhances the firm’s ability to maintain high operational standards, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance across all services.
In their new roles, Karen and Beverley will oversee key departmental teams, setting strategic objectives and driving both business growth and service excellence.
Karen Crozier: A Commitment to Excellence & Team Development
Having been with the firm for almost 22 years, Karen has worked across a diverse range of client accounts and business types, with specialist expertise in audits, charities and SMEs. She began her TTR Barnes journey in 2003 as an Audit Supervisor, progressing to Audit Manager in 2004 and later Head of Audit & Accounts in 2015.
As Associate Director, Karen will take on a more strategic role, focusing on business development, client acquisition and maintaining high-quality standards across the firm, while prioritising continued development of the TTR Barnes team.
Karen said, “I’m excited to support the business strategically and ensure we continue to deliver the excellent level of service that we are known for. My focus is on developing our core business units, services and teams through continued progression in all areas. It is a pleasure to act as client partner for so many thriving North East businesses and support growth through continued expert advice and accountancy support.”
Beverley Kelly: Strengthening Client Relationships & Service Excellence
Beverley joined TTR Barnes in 2005 following a merger with Huntley & Co, before quickly becoming Audit & Accounts Manager in 2008. Beverley’s areas of specialism include audits, charities, SMEs and solicitor accounts. Her move to Associate Director means increased client contact at a senior level and she is looking forward to ensuring the continued success of the firm through team progression and development.
Beverley said, “Our strengthened leadership presence gives even more reassurance to our clients of our high level of expertise. We pride ourselves on being a partner and understanding our client profile in as much depth as their accounts. It is lovely to see how our clients have grown with us over the years – the personal touch we bring is so important to our relationships and this is what makes our service provision exceptional.
The recent steps we have taken at all managerial levels create a solid structure for our own continued growth. I’m eager to play my own part in the development of the business and believe our commitment to expert knowledge, breadth of service provision and competitive fee structure places us in an excellent position for continued growth.”
A New Era for TTR Barnes
Director David Cook added:
“We would like to congratulate both Beverley and Karen on their well-earned promotions. Their expertise, leadership and client dedication will undoubtedly shape the next phase of growth for TTR Barnes, reinforcing our reputation for service excellence.”
